DIY storage tins

I was planing to have some storage solution for my craft supplies long ago but didn't get time actually. Recently I got my hands on  some beautiful vintage theme flower paper stock and I can't resist myself to use them in my recent project. Once i have seen vintage theme storage tins online and I was drooling over them since then but the problem is that they were really small and simply no practical use. so i got my supplies on and start working on them.

Supplies you need :

Pringles small tins
printed card stock
double sided scotch tape
scissor
markers
ruler/scale
paper trimer
tags

I have got these free printables from Doodle craft and get them printed from Staples stationery

Measure the box height which is almost 3.2 inches. Cut a long stripes with paper trimmer or with the help of scissor.

use double sided tape on corners of the strip vertically and horizontally on tin.

to make the edges neat, ( in case you have an old tin) use aluminium tape to cover it.

Taadaa. . . . . its ready .

I didn't like the other tags so i used scallop and circle and paste them on the lid. ( i didnt want to ruin the pattern.

hope you liked the tutorial. Dont forget to like us on Facebook and Instagram@aincrafts for more tutorials and projects.

Masala Bhindi ( Spicy Okra )

Okay and ladyfinger is very common in Pakistan. It's available year round.
Almost 9 out of ten women make Okra in lunch or dinner when they don't have any other option to cook. Seriously I cook okra 2 times a week coz my parents in law loves the masla Bhindi I make  and second it's less time consuming. It usually cooks in half an hour but man you need another hour to cut them into pieces. One of the healthiest option in veges. I learned this recipe from my mom. So if you ever try or cook it , say a little prayer for her.

You need following ingredients to make Masala Bhindi ( Spicy Okra/ladyfinger).

1/2 kg
Okra/lady finger

2- 3
Medium sized onion

2 Tomatoes

3-4
Green chilled

1 tsp Red chili powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
Black pepper seed 10-12
1 tsp cumin
Salt as per taste
Oil

Slice the onions and fry them in oil untill they become translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes
Add all spices, cook until tomatoes dissolves. Add green chilies.
Cut the okra/ Bhindi in small pieces and saute them in a pan with less oil and high heat. It reduces the sliminess of okra/bhindi. Its one of the best way to reduce okra's slime.
Once the slime dries, add onion tomato mixture.
Cooked for a while. Taaadaaa .. it's ready to serve. Make some hot chapatis and serve with yogurt and salad.

Serves almost 4 to 5 persons.

DIY Washi tapes

Washi's are love. No matter which age group you belong to .. you will instantly fall in love with them. There would not be a single crafter who doesn't like them. Washi tapes are basically paper tapes or masking tape. They come in different colors and patterns. You can use them in a variety of projects. Yet they are very economical and easy on pockets. Price ranges from 100pkr to 350pkr. I have used them in few of my projects and believe me it's totally love.

Who doesn't like candles specially when it smells like vanilla. Did some tea light candles and placed them on  potpourri.

i love scented candles. so i used lemon, blueberry and strawberry flavors for pebbles patch candles specially for bathroom decor.

I love to make wooden alphabets for wall hangings. Used washi on some wooden letters.

I have made a quick wall hanging on Eid with some printable, washi tapes and ribbon. Everyone loved it. It gave a whole new look to the room.

some other wall canvases i have made with washitapes.
Some of my other projects with washi tapes. Candy eggs, Photoframe, led tea lights and bookmarks.

Hope you liked and enjoyed all the projects. Don't forget to give your reviews in comments.
